Karl Chavarria, LFCE, is a software engineer in test currently working for LivingSocial and is also an avid technology hobbyist. For the past 7 years, Karl has lived in the Portland metro area, where he has worked at various tech start-ups and studied Computer Science at Portland State University. Karl started his career in Linux system administration, but soon steered toward quality assurance after seeing just how much it incorporated one of his favorite tasks: automation. When he's not increasing the efficiency of his Ruby code, Karl can be found working on programming-side projects, playing music arcade games, and enjoying all of the delicious food that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
