Limitations of mobile emulators

As we have discussed briefly in Chapter 1, Ensuring Five-star Rating in the MarketPlace, since emulator programs cannot completely mimic a physical device, they cannot be relied upon for testing device hardware- or firmware-specific features like cameras, gyroscopes, accelerometers, network conditions, and geolocations. This is the most important limitation of mobile emulators. Also, with emulators, there are very limited tools that can be used to extract and create object identifiers. So, with the emulator-based automation approach, it is important to have experts of functional automation in the team, who can help create the object identifiers quickly.
