8.3. Sequencing an Application

Before sequencing an application, always install the application locally without the App-V Sequencer software monitoring. This will familiarize you with the application, document any unexpected behavior, and determine whether a problem is an App-V issue or an application issue. Sequencing engineers can spend too much time troubleshooting virtual Registries when a problem exists, even when the application is locally installed.

This would be a great time to create an application install guide if one does not exist for this application.

This is also the time to make sure that any network drives are mapped. Close all other applications including Explorer windows, and under Folder And Search Options in Windows Explorer, ...
