Companies are evaluating virtualization as a way to save money in a number of different ways. The plan could be something as simple as server consolidation to lower the number of physical servers they need to buy, which could also translate into lower heating and cooling costs. Or, they could be at the other end of the spectrum, trying to create a more dynamic environment that can adapt to changing business needs based on business rules they implement.
