15.2. Installing the Microsoft VDI Solution

The process of implementing the Microsoft VDI solution consists of installing and configuring several services on servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 and endpoint devices running the Windows client operating system.

As discussed in previous chapters, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services provides support for session management and publishing of the remote applications and desktops. Microsoft Remote Desktop Services includes five role services that support the Microsoft VDI solution.
