6.1. Envisioning

Envisioning is the earliest phase of an entire project. This process could start with a single person or with a group of people who have observed a problem that needs a solution. Coming to a clear, nontechnical definition of the observed problem and a nontechnical solution to that problem is the ultimate goal of the envisioning process. Note that the goal is not to develop the solution but to define what will be required in order to develop that solution.
