Tim Cerling

Tim Cerling is a server and virtualization technology specialist working for Microsoft. He has been a customer-facing Microsoft employee for over 10 years and in the IT industry for over 35 years. Yes, he remembers keypunching assembler code into Hollerith cards and loading hex addresses via console switches in order to load a bootstrap loader program to get an operating system running on the first computers he worked on. Before joining Microsoft in 1999, he worked for Digital Equipment Corporation (later Compaq) from 1980 to 1999.
