Exchange Server 2013 Requirements
When you get ready to start installing Exchange Server 2013, one thing that may slow you down is meeting all the necessary prerequisites. Depending on your expertise with Exchange Server, Active Directory, and supported versions of Windows Server, it may take hours or even days before you are ready to install Exchange Server 2013.
Things that can slow you down include, operating system and Active Directory prerequisites (software versions, patches, updates) as well as having the required permissions. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Exchange Server, you must make sure you are at the right version and service pack for all your existing servers.
