SQL Server security settings
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 can run on the SQL Server, and smaller installations can also run on SQL Server Express. It is vital to understand the requirements of the client in the first place. It is recommended to use the following steps to help increase SQL Server security:
- Always make sure that the latest operating system and SQL Server service packs and updates are installed.
- For filesystem-level security, make sure all SQL Server data and system files are installed on NTFS partitions.
