Chapter 3 Customizing VM Storage

Without durable, persistent storage, compute services have little value. Storage is key to enable full services to be delivered. In this chapter, we’ll explore a number of options and configurations related to the storage delivered. Topics include customizing VM storage, configuring caching, optimizing virtual storage size and performance, and sharing storage. You’ll learn how Azure is built to provide storage services.

In addition to native storage tools and services, I’ll introduce you to third-party tools that help manage Azure Storage as well as hybrid storage and backup solutions that leverage Azure.
