Summary

In this chapter, we saw how to manually set up and run a Mesos cluster on the public cloud (AWS, GCE, and Azure) as well as on a private datacenter (on the premises). We also discussed common errors that are faced during the setup process and how these can be debugged and resolved efficiently.

In the next chapter, we will explore important scheduling and management frameworks, such as Marathon and Chronos, that often go hand in hand with Mesos and are integral components of the Mesos ecosystem.
