In this chapter, we dived deep into some of the most important features of Mesos that make it efficient, scalable, and fault tolerant. Advanced topics such as Mesos' resource allocation options and production-grade fault tolerance capabilities were explained in detail. With this strong background, the reader will be guided through the more practical aspects of Mesos installation, administration, and framework setup in the subsequent chapters.
In the next chapter, we will discuss how to set up a multi-node Mesos cluster both on a public cloud service as well as on a private datacenter with a discussion on the common issues faced and how to debug and troubleshoot them.
