Choosing a custom field type wisely

When you are gathering the requirements from various stakeholders, they will ask you to create new custom fields to capture a specific piece of information. In the previous section, we discussed how you should always try to optimize the usage of these fields. However, once you have decided on the custom fields that need to be created, before creating them in the instance, spend some time working with the types of custom fields. Once created, the type of fields cannot be changed easily.
