Summary

In this chapter, we have covered the EJB and web subsystems, which represent the backbone and the frontend of Java Enterprise applications. We have gone through the key attributes of each subsystem and how to configure the application server for collecting these attributes and visualizing them. The next chapter will be devoted to the messaging system, which is the way applications can communicate in a loosely coupled style.
