Summary

In this chapter we have seen how to deploy FreeSWITCH in an actual production environment. We reviewed the best practices for best service. A reliable network, both at LAN and WAN level, with QoS and MPLS. Functional and load testing services with SIPp. Debug and CDR logging for keeping track of what happens. Monitoring it all with Nagios and Cacti to alert us when things go wrong and analyze trends. We have seen how to offer five nines telecom grade availability with HeartBeat redundancy and Kamailio load balancing, and geographical distribution and disaster recovery with DNS SRV records. We don't let our users and customers down.
