The term “precious metals” covers gold, silver, palladium, platinum and the other “platinum group” metals (rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium). “Bullion” means gold and silver traded in bulk form (for example, gold bars, gold ingots or gold plate, rather than gold coins).
