Summary

This chapter introduced the concept of how to build and interpret basic models, such as linear regression models. By now, you should be familiar with the motivation behind linear regression models; you should know how to control for confounders, how to enter discrete predictors, how to fit models in R, and how to interpret the results.

In the next chapter, we will extend this knowledge with generalized models, and analyzing the model fit.
