Releasing the game and steps after it

This is the part when the excitement really builds, and you say to yourself "It's time."

But seriously, it's an exciting moment when your game is finally ready for release and you're sending it to be reviewed by Apple with the plan that it gets into the hands of possibly millions of people.

The first thing to do when releasing a game is to create an archived file of your app that you can upload to the Apple servers. To do this, simply go to Product | Archive (if it's grayed out, change your device type from one of the simulators to a device, even if you don't have a device plugged in).
