Chapter 17. Detailing Your Design

As you've seen so far, you can show information in Revit in a variety of ways, from 3D perspectives to axons to perpendicular views, be they plans or sections. In each of these cases, the geometry is typically modeled based on a design intent, meaning that your goal isn't to model everything but enough to demonstrate what the building is going to look like. To this end, it becomes necessary to embellish parts of the model or specific views with detailed information to help clarify what you've drawn. These take the shape of 2D detail elements in Revit that you will use to augment views and add extra information.
