Securing the Global Options Editor
If you've made changes to the Global Options, you can save the options file as an XML file and easily reload it in case of any changes. However, since file units, preferences, and performance settings are housed in this section, it makes sense to secure the Global Options Editor. You can add another layer of security by locking down the Options Editor to prevent any unauthorized modifications.
You'll need to access the Options Editor through the DOS command window. Here's how:
1. Click the Windows Start button (lower-left corner of your screen).
2. Click Run.
3. Type cmd in the Open field and click OK.
4. A command prompt window will open. Click after the C:\ prompt.
5. Type CD C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks ...
