Rules for clashes can be a great asset and affect the outcome of a clash. Rules can help you filter specific objects, like items contained in a selection set, so that you're clashing only the specific elements needed.

Rules are divided into two types: default and rules templates. What is the key difference between default rules and rules templates?
Solution
Default rules have no options to change or customize. They are also set in Clash Detective by default. Rules templates are created with a base so that you can customize your own rules as needed by adding specific elements like selection sets or properties you want to filter out.
