Blocks are a great way to create and store ready-made symbols. They can be a real time-saver, especially when you have assemblies that you use often. Earlier in this book, you learned how to create a basic, no-frills block. Once you understand the basics of block creation, you can begin to work with dynamic blocks.
Dynamic blocks have properties that you can modify using grips. For example, you can create a dynamic block of a door and then easily grip edit its size and orientation. Or you can use a single block to represent several versions of a similar object. You can have a single block of a bed that can be modified to show a double, queen-, or king-sized shape.
