Summary

In this chapter, we've examined the tools and processes that ArcGIS Server and the ArcGIS API for JavaScript provide to make web editing possible. We looked at what goes into an editable feature service. We also looked into the various widgets that come with the ArcGIS JavaScript API for adding new features, editing geometries, and editing property attributes. We finished by creating an application that uses the editing tools to create an incident reporting application, with which users can report problems in the city on the map.

In the next chapter, we'll take the existing data and add a graphical twist.
