Find Data

You can search for records that contain specific data. You can also search for data in tables, queries, and forms.

By default, Access performs a search of the current table. To perform a more advanced search, you can create a query.

You can specify how you want Access to search for data in a field. The Any Part of Field option allows you to find data anywhere in a field. For example, a search for smith finds Smithson and Macsmith. The Whole Field option allows you to find data that is exactly the same as the data that you specify.
