Introduction

In the previous chapters we examined patterns used to collect data from sources that have been traditionally closed to application developers. Ideally these investigations will have broken down any preconceived boundaries you may have placed around mashup technology. In this chapter we will return to the roots of mashups: assembling different material to create something entirely new.
