Introduction

In the previous chapter we examined the role of mashups within the modern enterprise. Before proceeding further, it’s important to address the terminology of mashup patterns more closely. This slight diversion is important for the layperson who may still be somewhat unfamiliar with the singular concepts of both mashups and patterns, but will benefit the technical reader as well.
