The “Quad Sheet”—A Simple Way to Monitor, Manage, and Evaluate Strategy Implementation

The quad sheet, another Collins’ creation, connects all the data, information, and decisions resulting from a strategy development so that employees understand how their jobs fit into the grand scheme. It also gives line, department, or function managers a concise version of the company plan relative to their areas of responsibility. Like Collins’ four types of manufacturers, the quad sheet is simple in concept and application. It breaks down company-level goals, objectives, and strategies into individual employee “to do” lists and timelines.
