Interviews and Guest Bloggers

Do you struggle to find topics to blog about?

For most, the answer is yes. When charged with the task of writing two or three blog posts each week, most people freeze. What should I write about? Turns out, there's an easy way to get great content for your blog and you don't have to write anything at all. Doesn't that sound like a get-rich-quick scheme? Well, this one's pretty close. Check it out.

There are, of course, countless “experts” and “gurus” in any industry, including yours. Here's another reality: most of them aren't nearly as successful as they make themselves out to be. Sorry, but it's true. That means all those “industry leaders” are desperately looking for ways to gain additional exposure for themselves. If you contacted some of those experts and asked them if they'd be interested in writing a guest post on your blog, the majority of them would jump at the offer and be grateful for the opportunity. I know. I've done it myself. Here's how it works:

“Hello, [expert's name]. A few months ago, I subscribed to your blog and really enjoy your posts. I'd like to introduce my readers to your work and am curious if you would be interested in writing a guest post on my blog. Please let me know if you can fit it into your schedule.”

I've also had people approach me, and I'm always flattered as a result. I haven't agreed to every request but have contributed more than half the time. Now, just to be clear, I suggest you do this with people ...
