About the Illustrations
The amazing original illustrations in the book are by Richard Biffle, an artist whose mystical fantasy pieces inspire many minds. For more than 20 years, Biffle has been working with the Grateful Dead (as well as the individual band member's spinoff projects), creating the fantastic artwork seen on Grateful Dead posters, merchandise, and CD covers.
Biffle has worked with many different bands besides the Grateful Dead, including Santana, the Black Crowes, the Allman Brothers Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Paul Simon, Deep Purple, and many more. His art outside the music industry includes work with Marvel Comics.
