Flexible Packaging Extrusion Coating/Laminating Line
This chapter describes the complex configuration of extrusion coating and laminating lines. These lines are configured linearly using modules (e.g., unwinds, rewinds, and coating application stations) familiar from other converting equipment. The book does not address the plastic extruding equipment that feeds molten resin to the die(s) on the line. Details about such equipment are presented in other works. The size, mass, and complexity of extrusion coating and laminating equipment are discussed.
