I have had the opportunity to interact with several CIOs over the last two decades of my experience in the information technology (IT) industry. I have consulted with several C-level executives on IT outsourcing and worked with IT services companies ranging from small to billion-dollar multinational companies in various roles. During my experience, almost all of my customers had a similar concern: they were unable to extract the full value from their service providers. In contrast, however, they did receive what had been agreed on in the contract. Some were worried that they might be locked in with their vendor services.
