Three Essential Attributes for Career Advancement

AS I REFLECT upon my career and try to articulate what were the three most important behaviors in growing up, in advancing professionally, I would come back to, number one, being demanding—being demanding of myself, of my boss, and of the company I work for. Second, resilience and perseverance, the combination of the two; the ability, once knocked down, to get up and be focused on the final outcome. And then, finally, in attitude—a can-do attitude—and confidence to execute.
