Both the Omninet Marketing Requirements Document and the Omninet System Requirements Document contain some defects. I introduced most of these accidentally when writing them, but I deliberately left them in. That may seem strange, but I want to ensure that you work from realistic source documents, not unrealistically polished ones. Also, in some of the static and black-box exercises, you will find these mistakes, which emphasizes that testing as a preventive activity. I have been told by course attendees around the world that the quality of these two requirements documents is about the same as the quality of requirements documents they typically receive when they are lucky enough to receive requirements documents!
