The Challenge of Complexity

Complexity science suggests that our tendency to oversimplify to feel more in control of our world is a bad move. Stuart Kauffman's thinking about order for free illustrates the point.

Kauffman focuses on where novelty comes from, which is natural considering his desire to explain biological evolution.
