Moving in the Right Direction

The team sets out to grow software, not baked goods (although, some ideas can be half-baked). They grow that software for reasons they think make the most sense. Growing software is a self-organizing process, so no grand potentate says, “We will now seek out a new market with a new piece of software.” People on the team might decide that collectively, and start growing software to steer them toward that goal they decided to start trying to achieve.
