Cultural assessment

This tool will help you articulate the cultural forces that will either help or hinder your change. Start by taking a look at the statements below and use the ‘Response’ column to uncover the reality in your organization. Then move on to the ‘Potential impact’ column and think through what this means for your change – in what way might it help or get in the way? Mark an ‘X’ in the column you think describes the force of the impact on your change. Will it help or hinder? A little or a lot? When you have finished, allocate the weightings shown at the end of the assessment and calculate your final score to find out if your change can succeed.
