Use Host Names
This document stressed the use of the Lion Server’s host name. Don’t attempt to use the shortcut of using your Lion Server’s IP address instead of the host name, or you may experience unexpected results.
Don’t Block Apple
Your Lion Server, and your managed iOS device, must be able to communicate with Apple Push Notification Service. Your iOS device must be able to connect to your Lion Server. You can count on all servers from Apple to have an IP address that starts with 17. (17.*.*.*).
