Establish Mentoring Relationships

•   Create a network of mentors—people within your organization who are star players and who are willing to pass their strategies and skills along to Gen Yers. Make a list of those mentors, including areas of expertise, and keep it in your database for easy access. Encourage Yers to seek out those individuals for informal chats, brainstorming sessions, or training opportunities.

•   Promote mentor/mentee events like ice-cream socials, brown-bag lunches, workshops on communication skills, and the like. These are opportunities for employees in mentor relationships to come together to celebrate, to learn, to have fun.
