Offer Increasing Responsibility as a Reward for Accomplishments

Give Gen Yers responsibility for seizing opportunities for more responsibility. Ask them to complete the feedback questionnaire on the next page, and repeat the process quarterly. Both you and they will have a track record of how effectively they’re expanding their skill and knowledge base and adding value in return. And you’ll have a clear idea of what new areas they want to pursue. Look for opportunities to use those as performance rewards.
