Chapter 17. Workflow systems

Workflow systems are critical in a unified content strategy because they help to ensure that content flows smoothly through the content life cycle. Workflow systems make sure that everybody contributes the required content, that content is reviewed and approved at the necessary stages, and that it is delivered to its various outputs. Rather than relying on manual processes, workflow systems automate them, handling the interrelationships among processes and tracking the status of the project at any given time.
