Looking Ahead

This chapter has extended the discussion, begun in Chapter 4, of using Microsoft Query to import data from an external data source into an Excel worksheet. The result is a focus on the New Database Query command.

But there are other options available to you in the main Data menu, including managing your data using pivot tables, grouping on continuous fields, and using Web queries. You'll find information on these in Chapter 6, "Importing Data: Further Considerations."
