Looking Ahead

This chapter focused heavily on using worksheet functions to help you locate data, reorient ranges, and identify the extent of the area that your data occupies. In particular, the chapter explored the technique of using Excel functions in combination with one another to bring about the results you're after.

This by no means exhausts the role that worksheet functions have in managing data. As shown in the next chapter, “Excel's Lists, Names, and Filters,” you use worksheet functions such as OFFSET and COUNT to build worksheet structures that respond automatically when you add or remove data.
