Why real-time data integration?

For most data integration requirements, overnight, batch data movement is simply no longer acceptable. It is not acceptable to be unable to see the results of a business transaction until the next day. Nor is it any longer acceptable for a customer to open an account with an organization but be unable to transact the same day.
