Project Vision

Project vision provides a shared mental image or model in answer to the question, “What do we hope to achieve for the organization with this project?” A project vision seeks to define the key pieces of the project's context:

  • What are the project's end goals or desirable outcomes?

  • What are its objectives?

  • What is its scope?

  • How does it relate to other projects?

  • On what other projects/factors does it depend?

  • What value will it add to the organization?

  • How will it contribute toward achieving the organization's strategic goals?

  • What is the strategy to deal with external changes?
