Execution is the basic 'purpose' of your existence and of the entire organization's existence. You and the rest of your team and everybody around you are paid to execute to the best of your ability. As a manager, always be on top of execution.
Planning is a great tool towards better quality execution. Remember, planning is a cycle of plan-execute-review-re-plan.
