In India, the Republic Day parade is quite a spectacle. It is a show of India's mighty military strength as well as its diverse culture. Every Republic Day parade has one contingent that's very different from all the others, that is, the kids who are awarded the 'bravery award'. A group of kids sitting on top of an elephant, some waving enthusiastically, and others seeming a little lost looking at the hoopla around them.
