  • Do you know the cost of multitasking in your organization? If not, ask everyone in your group to track their time for no more than one week. Ask each person to count the number of times they multitask during the day. Ask them to estimate how long it took to move away from the first task to the second one and how long it took to reenter the context of the original task. You will be dismayed. Determine an average cost per day of multitasking.
