This appendix provides additional details about the inner workings of the workbooks presented in this book. If you just want to use these workbooks, you will not need this information. But if you are interested in modifying some of the templates or simply want to learn more about how Excel works, you will find these details valuable.

The explanations I provide here assume you have some familiarity with Excel formulas and functions and also with VBA programming. It would be impractical to provide all the background information a beginner would need to understand these topics—after all, entire books have been written on these subjects!
