Beyond Processing: Other Frameworks and Languages

As we’ve seen throughout this book, Processing is a great environment for experimenting with the Kinect. Processing makes it easy to try out all of the techniques the Kinect enables, from skeleton tracking to point clouds, from background removal to hand tracking. However, there are many other environments in which it is also possible to work with the Kinect. In fact, because of the incredible growth of both the OpenKinect and OpenNI communities, there are libraries for working with the Kinect in a huge variety of languages and frameworks.
