Design Value: Simplicity

As the first place where the rubber of the ideal finally hits the road of screen space, the Layout layer is often where the presence of complexity is first felt. In the light of black-and-white line drawings and wireframe layouts, it finally becomes apparent that a single page really can’t support 5 levels of navigation, 42 different input fields, and 4 banner ads.
